We host interactive personal finance workshops that are designed specifically for college students at UT Austin. Our workshops offer students an immersive learning experience in financial concepts, emphasizing how to apply these principles effectively in their daily lives.

In our budgeting curriculum, students will learn why budgets are important, how to budget, and various budgeting recommendations. Through an interactive activity, students will create their own personal budget.

In our bank accounts curriculum, students will learn the difference between debit and credit, checking and savings accounts, and different types of interest. Through an interactive activity, students will learn how to choose a bank account that’s right for you.

In our taxes curriculum, students will learn about the different types of taxes, determining filing status, and understand the various types of tax forms. After completing an exercise on understanding your taxes, students will be equipped with the knowledge to navigate tax forms, and identify eligible deductions and credits.

In our loans curriculum, students will learn about the various types of loans available, the importance of understanding interest rates, and how different repayment plans can affect the total cost of the loan. Through our loan calculator simulation, students will be able to see how different variables, such as interest rates and repayment periods, impact the total cost of a loan.

In our insurance curriculum, students will learn about various forms of insurance, gain insights into the importance of coverage options, and the role insurance plays in maintaining financial well-being. Students will engage in an interactive activity where they simulate real-life scenarios, comparing, and budgeting for different types of insurance coverage to understand the practical implications of their choices.
